How to Dig Deeper With Your Marketing

And Attract Loyal, Long-Term Clients to Your Interior Design Firm.

I don’t mean to sound all mysterious (or confusing). But, I do want you to think much deeper about results and how your work truly impacts your clients.
Because what you do as an Interior Designer offers so much more than the tangible results you create.

Yes, at first glance, you use your skills and experience to transform spaces in ways that help make houses feel like home, offices feel more functional, kitchens expand and welcome more function and hospitality.

But, every project and every client experiences a much deeper emotion and enjoys a substantial impact than the initial reveal.

And this isn’t shared enough in your marketing.

Your audience loves to see the “befores and afters” and the stunning photos of what you and your team are capable of.

But, share how it transforms the lives of your clients on a deeper level, and the emotions created from this will intensify a desire within your audience to explore how you can help them, too!

I love this quote by Albert Hadley:
The essence of interior design will always be about people and how they live. It is about the realities of what makes for an attractive, civilized, meaningful environment, not about fashion or what’s in or what’s out. This is not an easy job.

By “deeper” I mean paint the picture of how transformed space plays a crucial role in our overall quality of life. Our health and wellbeing, both mentally and physically, are affected by the space we choose to spend the most time in.

How that new kitchen may now allow more daylight to come in. Isn’t it brighter and makes you feel rejuvenated each morning?
How about the improved air quality thanks to the new duct work and removal of walls?
Or the improved ergonomics now in the Master Bedroom and Home Office?

There is hard science that links health and wellness to the surroundings we spend the most time in.

And connecting this with your particular work will only strengthen your value and shine a spotlight on your marketing.

This might be something you are very aware of. You may sit back often and see  the positive change a transformed space brings to a client’s life.

This renewed or refreshed positivity may be part of conversations you have with your clients and team members. And is simply something that “is” and celebrated when you move on to the next project.

But, how often do you share the impact you have on a lifestyle, health, and wellness, in your marketing?
How often are you moving beyond the surface of your results. And digging deeper into the essence of them?

There is always a deeper reason to improve a space than simply aesthetics.

And communicating this in your marketing is what will further set you apart, and stand you out as a professional who is both emotionally and creatively invested in the lives of her clients.
